Khazar University – one of the most dynamic enterprises of higher education in Azerbaijan and the broader region – is seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial leader/CEO for the University to bring it to greater eminence nationally, regionally and internationally.

Khazar University, the first private university in Azerbaijan, was established in Baku, the capital city of the country, by Resolution No 286, 20 December 1990 and Resolution No 41, 18 March 1991 of the Council of Ministers of Azerbaijan. Khazar is a flourishing university with an enrollment of around 2000 students and with English as the main language of instruction.

A successful candidate must hold a PhD; must have senior-level administrative experience in higher education; must be a person of high integrity with the ability to lead a complex organization in a period of change; must be a catalyst for the medium-term growth and long-term development of the University; must have an earned doctorate from a recognized institution. In addition, the ideal candidate should have evidence of fundraising experience as well as evidence of leadership in initiating new programs.

While knowledge of the Azerbaijani language is not a requirement, an ideal candidate will be familiar with Azerbaijan and/or the surrounding region.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
